For the month of April, we are expanding Free Children’s Book Day to a whole Free Children’s Book WEEKEND!
Saturday, April 13 – Sunday, April 14, kids 12 and under can select a children’s book of their choice for FREE.
The bookstore will be open from 11:00am – 5:00pm on Saturday, April 13 and from 11:00am – 12:30pm on Sunday, April 14. (The store will be CLOSED for a special event starting at 12:30pm on Sunday, April 14.)
Free Children’s Book Day is a monthly event that began in June 2023. In addition to introducing our special bookstore to local families, our hope is to help make books as accessible as possible to children and help cultivate a lifelong love of reading.
Due to our bookstore move, there will not be a Free Children’s Book Day event in the month of May. However, the tradition will continue at our new space at 933 Broadway in Oakland starting this summer. Details to be announced. Also be on the lookout for additional special activities in association with these events in the future, including story times, arts & crafts, and free ice cream!
