Bookstore Moving Sale!
The Bookmark Bookstore is moving! In preparation for this major event, The Friends of the Oakland Public Library will host a huge Moving Sale.
On Friday, April 26 – Sunday, April 28, 2024, members of the Friends of the OPL will get first dibs on inventory and 50% off all purchases. The sale will continue May 1 – 12, with all customers eligible to receive 50% off all purchases.
Membership can be purchased online or in the store on the day of the sale ($25 per year, $15 for seniors and full-time students) to receive the discount during the members-only sale days.
Discounts apply to already low prices of $3 to $8 for most items in store, which includes a huge inventory of gently used and donated books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, comics, puzzles, and more. All proceeds benefit Oakland’s Public Libraries.
Donations will no longer be accepted after April 13. We will welcome donations again at our new and improved donation center at the new bookstore location at 933 Broadway in Oakland starting in June. More details to be announced.
The Bookmark Bookstore is currently located at 721 Washington Street in Old Oakland. The store will be open throughout the sale from 11:00am – 4:00pm Wednesdays – Fridays and 11:00am – 5:00pm Saturdays - Sundays. For more information, call (510) 444-0473 or email bookmark@fopl.org.
The special tiles in Colony Flow are what kept me in. Hidden Food, Food Pipes, Hungry Doors... each one changes the approach. The lock and key setups especially made me think. I kept playing because every board is like a mini game of 'what happens if I pull this block first?'
