It's June! The Bookmark Bookstore is heading to the Old Oakland Farmer's Market on Friday, June 6 for a pop-up sale of cookbooks, DIY craft guides, gardening inspiration, and more.
Back at the shop, we're excited to offer prizes for participants in Summer at the Oakland Public Library. Please note: we'll be closed on Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
This month, we're celebrating Pride. Browse our in-store collection of materials featuring LGBTQ+ writers and characters. And check out these online selections below, featuring some of Oakland Public Library and the Bookmark staff's favorite LGBTQ+ authors and illustrators.
Choose the Bookmark Bookstore as your affiliate shop and a portion of your Bookshop.org purchase will support the Oakland Public Library, empowering all people to explore, connect, and grow.

Farmer's Market Pop-Up Sale: We're hosting a table at the Old Oakland Farmer's Market on 9th and Clay on Friday, June 6 from 8AM-2PM. Stop by our table and build your personal library of farm-to-table cookbooks and other fun DIY resources on crafting, canning, and more. Customers will receive a coupon for the Bookmark Bookstore around the corner!

Also, get ready for our Monthly Member Sales! Mark your calendars for our first recurring sale July 19-20 and every third weekend of the month thereafter. Members receive 50% off on Saturday, and everyone receives 30% off on Sunday.
