The Bookmark will be host to two events for the Beast Crawl Literary Festival on Saturday, July 22 between 4:00pm – 6:30pm.
This annual literary festival showcases the diversity and talent of writers with deep roots in the East Bay. ("East Bay" is pig latin for BEAST.) The program features four “legs” of 10 simultaneous readings/performances across Oakland, followed by a big after party.
The Bookmark will host performances by a number of talented writers and poets from Milvia Street Journal, the literary magazine of Berkeley City College, from 4:00-5:00pm, followed by the Colossus Press from 5:30-6:30pm.
