The Bookmark Bookstore Announces Two Day “Thank you” Sale

“We’re still here, thanks to you!” beams Phyllis Couillard, Store Manager of the Friends of the Oakland Public Library’s Bookmark Bookstore.

That’s why she’s inviting members, non-members, shoppers and donors to shop the store’s deep collection of used books from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 31 (Saturday) and August 1 (Sunday) for a special thank-you sale.

“We are grateful for all of the support we received during the long months of the pandemic,” says Julie Waldman, Friends of the Oakland Public Library Board Co-Treasurer and Chair of the Bookstore Committee, “and we are excited to show our gratitude with 50% off a wide range of our books.”

Shoppers will receive 50% off on these selected sections (no other discounts apply):

• Mysteries

• Children’s

• Cooking

• Travel

• LP records and CDs

Just a friendly reminder from the bookstore staff: Masks are still required for your safety and the safety of the store staff, and there will be no holds in advance of the sale.
