We are thrilled to announce that after more than a year of closures and limited hours, we are set to reopen The Bookmark Bookstore five days a week on Wednesday, June 16th. It has been our highest priority to provide a safe environment for our customers and staff and now we look forward to welcoming everyone back. We deeply appreciate your patience and continuing support.
Our new store hours will be Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00am - 4:00pm.
In-Store Shopping
Starting June 16th, we will no longer require reservations for in-store shopping - patrons are now welcome to shop anytime during open hours
We will not limit the number of people we allow in the store but we will monitor capacity to ensure that everyone can maintain safe physical distancing
We will continue to follow both Alameda County Public Health protocols and CDC guidelines:
Masks are required for entry into the store and for the duration of your visit
Use the hand sanitizer when you enter
Make an effort to maintain a distance of 6ft from other patrons
Donations
We will continue to take donations by appointment thru June. Before making your donation, please review the donation guidelines on our website.
We will take a break in July to catch up on processing incoming donations. Donation appointments will be available again in August through the rest of the year.
Virtual Bookstore
We recognize that our Virtual Bookstore has been very helpful for those who are not ready to shop in person and we will continue to maintain the Virtual Bookstore on our website. It will be less robust so we encourage you to email us if you're looking for a specific title or item.
Amazon and eBay
Don't forget to check for treasures on our Amazon and eBay stores. We add new titles regularly - there are some real gems!
Bookshop.org
Thanks to each of you who have supported the library by shopping for new books, note cards, calendars, and puzzles at our Bookshop.org store. Friends of the OPL receive 100% of the proceeds from those sales and we are so grateful. Keep up the good shopping!
