Shop uncommon, delightful, and engaging titles not found in a typical book store.
Providing a safe environment for everyone (customers and staff) is our top priority and we have made a few changes that we believe will provide for everyone’s safety.
You will be able to come into the store to browse and shop without making an appointment. While we’re not limiting the number of people we allow in the store, we will monitor this to ensure that everyone can maintain safe physical distancing.
We will follow both Alameda County Public Health protocols and CDC guidelines.
Safety requirements for in-store shopping:
Please use hand sanitizer before entering the store
Wear an approved face covering correctly at all times during your visit
Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and Bookmark staff
Ways to Shop & Support
Our store is in a charming old Victorian building with high ceilings, hardwood floors, lots of comfortable chairs, books displayed on tables, and bookshelves filled with an eclectic collection of books.
Generally, our prices are 40%-50% below those of other quality used bookstores. And we accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
The Bookmark is open for in-store shopping or shop our Virtual Bookstore!
Each book (or item) is carefully researched to determine their value and appropriateness for sale online. We currently have over 2,000 titles listed on Amazon and 250 items (books and ephemera) on eBay. Shop our online stores today!
* The inventory list is not updated in real-time, so some items may already be sold.
