The Friends of the Oakland Public Library is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to support the programs and services of the Oakland Public Library.
The Oakland Public Library is fortunate to have numerous friends groups which provide valuable support to the individual library branches. In an effort to assist these groups, the Friends of the Oakland Public Library (FOPL) operates a branch friends internet portal, to facilitate the online presence of these groups. Branch friends groups are independent of the Friends of the Oakland Public Library (FOPL); however, we do assist one another when our missions overlap.
