<p>Members of Friends of the Oakland Public Library provide financial support for library projects and programs that enhance library services to the residents of Oakland, Piedmont, and Emeryville. In addition to the good feeling that comes with supporting the library, members receive a 20% discount at the Bookmark Bookstore and the Friends&#8217; newsletter, Off the Shelf.</p>

<p>Grants to the Oakland Public Library for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 totaled over $125,000.  Thank you to our members and Bookmark Bookstore customers, volunteers and book donors for making these grants possible.</p>

<p><strong>THE BOOKMARK BOOKSTORE NEEDS BOOKS</strong></p>

<p>The Bookmark is located at 721 Washington Street in Old Oakland.</p>

<li> Saturday: 10:30 a.m. &#8211; 3:30 p.m.</li>

<p>Our bookstore, staffed by volunteers, raises money for the library, and we are always in need of donations. If your home is overflowing with treasured books, help is on the way. Friends of the Library accepts book donations which gives you a deduction and provides funds for the library.</p>
